“ One of the best restaurants in Schenectady. Get the biscuits and gravy it’s one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever had and all of their cocktails are well balanced and delish. We go often and are always satisfied. If I have to nitpick it can be a little loud in there sometimes. ”

I took my wife out for our anniversary and was overjoyed to find a welcoming and accommodating wait staff who wanted to make sure every detail was spot on. Kudos to the attention to detail! Each dish we had served perfect temp and had everything and more you were looking for. For our apps, we tried the hot biscuits with honey butter, melt in your mouth pork belly, and the fried green tomatoes. Each was delicious and meticulously crafted. The chef really nailed it, blending southern inspired foods with rich flavor bombs. We will be happy to see the folks at The Nest again soon. ”
“ My family made a reservation for 5:30 prior to seeing a play at Proctors. We immediately were sat at a table upstairs. The ambience is beautiful and elegant. It has a Renaissance feel from the bird cage chandeliers, the gold mirrors and picture frames. We were immediately greeted by our friendly server Skylar. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. We opted all for the Blueberry Lemon Drop. The appetizers came out quickly , hot and fresh. One thing about this restaurant is the flavor is not lacking. They use a perfect amount of sauce, garnishes and overall flavor. I would highly recommend for a dinner date or night out. ”
“ What a wonderful experience ! The staff is warm and friendly the minute you walk in. The fish n chips is like no other I’ve ever had ! This catfish has to be in the hall of fame . It’s crispy , its flavor, it’s heaven ! The fries are also unique due to their crispy and robust flavor . The Mac salad made me think of my Grandmother , a special homemade rarity . I highly recommend coming here if you haven’t already . ”
“ I heard good things about this place, so I decided to check it out. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated immediately, which was nice. So the food...I doubled down on the chicken and my decision did not disappoint! The best wings and chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The wings had a combo of like three main flavors that all came together perfectly. The fried chicken is soaked in a brine for 24 hours, which becomes obvious the second you bite into it. Most succulent! Colonel Sanders ain’t got nothin’ on The Nest’s 11 herbs and spices. I have to admit, this isn’t the kind of place that you would expect to serve such things, but their menu is an eclectic mix of comfort food and fancy entrees, such as short rib, which I didn’t try, but it looked amazing. Who’s sharing a bite of that anyway? Nobody. To top off the evening, the service was fantastic from beginning to end. ”
“ We did and impromptu al fresco lunch visit that was most enjoyable. Their wedge and Caesar salads were sizable and well prepared. The wedge salad had blue cheese crumbles and bacon bits generously spread on its sides. Fresh tomatoes ILO their scalded would be my suggestion. A side of moist, tasty corn bread was enjoyable. Their potato crusted crab cake was delectable, with a unique, delicious horseradish slaw. A return trip is in our future. ”

“ My first time at The Nest... I’ve been waiting for years! And wow!! It was everything I’d wanted and more!!! The place is beautiful, our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. And our food was INCREDIBLE!!! I had the best chicken sandwich of my life!!! My partner got the eggs Benedict with fried chicken and she loved it! We also got the fried green tomatoes as an app. I personally would have liked them without the sauces on top. The flavor overpowered the tomatoes. They had a live DJ who brought the atmosphere way up with awesome music! I can’t say enough good things! It’s now official my new brunch spot!!!! ”
